This was supposed to be a magazine. I found my audience. I made the connections. I hired the writers. I created the spaces. I organized the visuals. I set the tone. But what I built was SO much bigger. The magazine was focused on my interaction with subcultures as I moved through the world. FIVEPLUG has evolved in a way that could no longer be centered around me. While FIVEPLUG has always valued community, growth is recognizing that creativity is the focus and community is the heart.
